Ohhhh Shoot [Nov. 6th, 2006|10:06 am]
Ashley
Wowie. Look who's back. It's me. I haven't written on here in quite some time. Let me tell you what I've been up to. I've been back at school for a while. Doing some math and other crap, tutoring, too. It's a good time. It's pretty sweet to basically get paid for doing your homework or going online if nobody shows up. Skating started this past weekend. It's always so hilarious. I never see my cousin, Meg, until skating starts, and it's always a good time when Meme, me, and Meg get together. Also, throwing in my 12 year old cousin, Willy, is never anything short of hilarious.
Yeah, I don't really have anything productive to say. My life is typical. School still sux. Yeah, I said it. Sux. Just like elementary and middle school kids say. Oh, my cat has diabetes. That's something new. I dunno if I ever wrote about how he got sick this summer, but he eventually got better, until he got really sick again in like, September. My dad actually took him to the Vet, and we found out he has Diabetes. So, he gets 2 insulin shots everyday, but he doesn't care at all, and he's all better now. Oh, I also turned 20 in October, but nobody really cares because I still look 12. Alright, that's it. Shut up.

Well, I go back to school tomorrow. Classes don't start til Monday, but I have gay training for tutoring on Thursday and Friday. Hopefully, it won't be too bad. I'm all packed up and everything, which is good because I have a busy day today. I have to go to the dentist and get my hair cut. Unfortunately, I think I have a UTI. Of course, the day before I go back to school. I know that's probably way too much information for anyone reading this, but too bad. My mom is being nice and is out buying the Danity Kane CD for me right now. Everyone should get it.
I got my hair colored yesterday. It's actually brown. I can't believe it. It's still reddish because my hair is naturally dark brownish reddish, so I'll never get away from that. It looks really good though. I like it a lot. I actually had it done by a girl that was almost a whole year younger than me, which is kind of funny, but she did a good job, so who cares?
Not really much else to say, just getting ready for school I guess. I hate school, but I guess it will be kind of cool to be there for like 4-5 days before most people are there. Plus, Claire is already there and so is Sarah, so it's not like I'll be alone. Anyways, I gotta go take a shower and stuff like that. Peace out.

Did You Check Me Off On The List? [Aug. 18th, 2006|06:33 am]
Ashley

So, today is the last day of camp, and it couldn't come any sooner. I'm sick of basically all of the counselors. They don't do their jobs. Instead, they sit around and play Uno all day or talk about drinking and smoking pot RIGHT in front of the kids. Like, what the hell? I love the kids, but the counselors are enough to keep me from ever wanting to go back and work there.
After today, I have only a few more days until I go back to school. I go back on Wednesday. Claire has to go back today, and Sarah has to go back tomorrow. Sucks. Only thing I'm looking forward to is having internet, since I've been out of it for 6 weeks in my room. Until I go back to school, I won't be doing anything. Meme will still be working all next week, which SUCKS. I have a busy day on Tuesday though. I have to go to the dentist and get my hair cut. By the way, I'm so scared of the dentist. So, that should be great. Also on that day, Danity Kane's CD comes out which I'm wiiiicked excited about. At some point, I also have to try to get my hair colored. It's like two colors because when I've tried to dye my hair in the past, it doesn't work, so someone needs to fix it. I'll see about getting that done. Anyways, YEAH BITCH!

Canobie Lake Parkkk [Jul. 31st, 2006|07:47 am]
Ashley
So, I made my second trip to Canobie Lake Park on Friday. I only had 4 kids in my group, all girls from 8-10 years old. So, I thought it was gonna be the bomb and mad easy. And it pretty much was...until some girl threw up...twice. Then, two girls took off on me in the water park. I didn't know 'Go play for 5 minutes' meant 'Go play for 15 minutes' but okay. It ended up being okay though. Only thing is, the girl that threw up, when we go back her mom was like 'Oh, I thought that might happen. She doesn't do rides.' Umm...okay, and you sent her to Canobie Lake Park because...? Once again, a counselor was like 15 minutes late getting back with his group from Barbieri. Apparently, they can't keep tabs on little kids. It's funny though. One of my little Potter Road pals overheard that I might be getting moved to Barbieri for 3rd session. That would kind of suck because it's farther from my house, and the people there are gay. Well, I'll find out soon enough.
I was in Lowell this past weekend for Meme's last tournament of the summer. They lost as usual. I'm glad it's over though because they suck. Defense is horrible, and then the coach will blame it on hitting. Really, coach? Because I'm pretty sure those like 45 errors per game kind of contribute to your losing streak. Just a thought. There's a party at a Framingham girl's house on Wednesday. I don't really want to go but everyone loves me and wants me there, of course.
Alright, I gotta finish getting ready for worky. I hate Mondays. It's stay at the camp all day-day. It sucks. There's nothing to do for 7 hours in one location. I'd rather go to the pool. Okay, that's kind of a lie. Pool days are my least favorite, but still. There's always Wednesdays...ROLLER KINGDOM!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, hahahaha. I forgot. At Canobie, some lady took a picture of me and my group right before we went on the roller coaster that made the girl throw up the first time. Precious Moment. Here's the picture. It's a little weird because it's got 'Proof' running across it, but it's still great. Okay. Peace out.

I'm Still Alive [Jul. 28th, 2006|06:49 am]
Ashley
Don't worry, kids. I'm still here. Just been busy, hanging out with youngins all day. It's really the bomb. This is the end of the first week of Session 2. I already miss a lot of my Session 1er's, mostly this girl Marissa. Some kids are back from 1 for 2, like my best friend Aaron. He's this 12 year old kid that I always hang out with and talk smack with. We talk about how I'm Shaq and how we're gonna perform karaoke together at Roller Kingdom next week. We're going to sing 'Fruit Salad' by The Wiggles, naturally. He tells me that I'm the #1 Counselor, and he tells all the other kids and counselors that I am, too. He's the #1 Camper, so it works out that we're bffs.
I haven't been up to much of anything, except going to work and being tired. I did go to my cousin Willy's baseball game on Tuesday night. Aaron and this kid Casey who I'm also tight with at camp play on Willy's team. We're going to Canobie Lake today. I don't know who my group is going to be because apparently, all the kids wanna be in my group. Yesterday, Karen, who's the boss counselor, told me that everyone wanted to be in my bowling group. I'm so popular. Even bitchy 12-13 year old girls love me. Weird. Canobie is stressful because somehow, I always get stuck with the biggest group, and then the bus rides, which are only supposed to be an hour, turn into 2 hours because of traffic. When it's wicked hot out and you're squeezed into a 3-seater, like I always seem to be, it sucks major dick. Supposedly, it might rain today though, and if it does, we'll have to go on Monday, but I'd rather just go today.
Meme has her last tournament of the summer in Lowell starting tomorrow. I might have to drive there and back because my parents are supposed to go to some party thing for some High School friend of my dad's. But I don't know if they're still going. Also, I got a new ringtone. The Jamie Foxx one was getting old, so now it's SexyBack by JUSTINNNN. Ow ow. It's the hottest song ever. Of course, I'm sitting with Aaron and a bunch of other 12 year old boys waiting for their parents yesterday, and Claire calls me so it starts going off. I was quick to shut it off. Anywho, I gotta finish getting ready and then eat some BK for breakfast. Yeaaaaaaaaaah.
Oh, but before I do, I just want to share this little quote from camp yesterday.
Kid #1: When my dog died, he went up there.
Kid #2: To Canada?
Kid #1: No. Heaven.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA's [Jul. 15th, 2006|11:18 pm]
Ashley
Real quick because Claire's here and we're watching the Braves. Went to the Red Sox/A's game today. I got three autographs. Rich Harden, Nick Swisher, and Mark Kotsay. Nick Swish and Richie are my fave A's, so that's really exciting. I got Rich's first out of everyone in the park, and I was the only one Nick gave his to, so that's pretty sweet. I'm pretty sure I got Kots' first, too. I'm such a pimp. Barry Zito threw me some gum. Apparently, he thinks that makes up for not giving me his autograph. I didn't get Huston's. When I called him, he was on his way to the Bullpen and he said 'I can't. I have to go.' Bastard. Still the bomb. A's lost. Whatever. Got really good pictures of Chavey. Got to see Zito for my first time because usually he goes ahead of the team to the next city. Got some gum from Zito that I'm never gonna chew or throw away. All in all, wicked sweet. Time for the Braves. Oh! And, Kenny Chesney threw out the first pitch. I hate country, but that was pretty sweet. I'll admit it, I got excited, but only because he's famous. Okay. Bye.

Eventful [Jul. 13th, 2006|06:11 am]
Ashley
So, yesterday was an eventful day at work. I played a little SPUD with a bunch of girls first. Then, I played connect four with Carlos and Justin, but one of my kids Gio came and wanted to play, too, so I had to have them switching off. Boys apparently don't like to share. Gio's kind of a bad kid, so I knew that me leaving probably wasn't a good idea but I went to go swing with some more homies. Carlos comes running over, telling me Gio's not sharing and that he threw all the chips on the ground. So, I go find Gio, try to get him to appologize to the boys, and he won't, and I don't really want to get him in trouble so I'm just like, yo if I find out you do anything like this again, someone's gonna find out.
Later, I took a bunch of peeps in to get water, use the bathroom, whatever. Since my kids are little, they're always asking to go in, which is really annoying. So, we're walking out, we get down to the playground and I hear 'Ashley!' and I see my little boyfriend Austan, asking me to go in. Of course, since I love him, I take him in. We talk for a while, and then go back out and I helped him find 3 more peeps to play 4 square with. When we get down there though, Carlos is crying because the big boys won't let him play up in one of the playgrounds. So, I go over there, tell them to let Carlos and whoever else do whatever they want. Everyone's happy.
I did talk to this 12 year old that plays baseball with my cousin. He referred to my cousin Willy as 'moody,' which I thought was hilarious. We went to Roller Kingdom yesterday afternoon, and it was the bomb. Since most of my kids are pretty little though, they can't skate well, so they were either really slow or all trying to hold on to me, which I do not approve of because they have to learn at some point. After it was almost time to go, Austan asked me to take his skates off and to come with him to return them. He's seriously like, the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life. Karen lets a few people go home early everyday, and I got to leave early yesterday so as I'm leaving he yells 'Bye Ashley!' Ahhh, I love him. He's got somewhat of a mohawk and this slick silver necklace that he showed me the first day.
I seriously love work, except for the swimming days, but it's not like I go in anyways. I would do this job for like 2 dollars an hour. It's wicked fun. We go bowling today, which I heard is terrible. There's like 100+ kids because both Potter Road (mine) and Barbieri go at the same time, and I guess the lady at bowling is a bitch so, we'll see how this goes. But Canobie is on Friday. That's gonna be ill, minus the longish bus rides. Well, I gotta go take a shower. PEACE.

I'm In Love With A 7 Year Old [Jul. 12th, 2006|06:37 am]
Ashley
So, at work, we were supposed to go swimming yesterday but it was raining and thundering. So, we got there, stand outside for a while, they tell us to go sit on the busses, it starts POURING. It was soooo hot on that bus, too. Then, they let us off so the kids can go swimming for atleast a little while. This one little boy, Austan, who I am in love with, his mom told me when she dropped him off that he's not really good at swimming. He was all scared to go in and stuff, but I promised him I'd watch him. He kept showing me how he was 'swimming' and it was so cute, and he'd get mad if I wasn't watching. He's definitely my favorite kid. Him and little Carlos.
It's a battle between peeps of who gets to sit next to me. It's really funny, but like I feel bad because obviously, I can only pick one per ride, and they get all mad. We're going to Roller Kingdom today though so I can have a new partner. Speaking of partners, my partner counselor is supposed to be finally coming today. I don't need that bitch. She's dead to me.
My internet in my room is being a fag again and not working. Hopefully, by the time I get back from camp this afternoon, it will be okay, but I doubt it because it hates me. We got the High School Musical CD from the library, and we were jamming to it in the car. It was hilarious because it comes with a karaoke CD, so we were singing to the instrumental versions. Good thing we are 19 and 17. That's not a problem or anything.
Mmk, well, I'm gonna go put sunblock on my face and watch more Sportscenter, my morning routine. Peace out, bitches.

Work It [Jul. 10th, 2006|07:36 pm]
Ashley
Okay, so work started today. It wasn't bad at all, just hot. Really hot. So, first off, my partner who I'm supposed to counsel 15 kids with, not there today. And apparently, she's not gonna be there tomorrow either. Whatever. Okay, so there's this kid Cody in my group. He's 7. He tells me he wants to go to Keefe Tech. to do Cosmo, and knowing full well what he's talking about but hoping for better, I ask him what that is, where he proceeds to confirm my thought and says it's cosmotology. Umm...he's a boy. Okay. So, later, we go get some coloring books and he gets a princess one and this girl in my group goes 'Shoudn't you pick something boyish?' and he's like 'No, I don't like boy things. I like girl things.' Cool...then, we go outside, and some of my girls are painting their nails with this polish that changes colors, and one girl asks him if she can paint his nails and he's like 'You can paint one' and she's like 'That's weird.' Then, we're playing in the four square with a ball and like doing categories where you pick a category and pass the balls and say a different thing from the category each time and his suggestions for categories are like, jewelry, make-up, and hair things. I'm not kidding. I'm creeped out.
All in all, I have the CUTEST boys. There's Colin who I had in skating. He's little and SUCH a good skater, and he's SO cute. There's little Carlos Garcia, who doesn't look a bit Spanish or talk it, but he's wicked cute. There's little Austan who tried to tell me he's not in my group. He's way cute. Me, him, and Carlos swung on the swings together and chit-chatted. There's Gio who I didn't get to hang with too long, but he already got in a fight today, but that's okay. There’s little David who felt that he needed to go inside to get water every two seconds, but he’s cute, so that makes it okay. There are girls I like too, but they’re really not worth mentioning. We go swimming tomorrow, which I’m not too thrilled about. Not a fan. We’ll see how that goes.
So, I was pretty tired after getting home. I mean, it was wicked hot and I’ve been playing around all day. But, me and Meme decided it would be a good idea to play UFC. Basically we were just wrestling and kicking and hitting each other on the floor. My go-to move is the glasses removal. Bo was wearing her glasses, so in the middle of the fight, I took them off and then screamed in her face. If you ever use this move in a fight, please give credit where it is due.
Well, that is all. More workage tomorrow. I’ve never had a job where I continuously work everyday, so this is kinda weird to me. At Hollister last summer, I usually only worked 4 days a week, sometimes 5, but I only worked like 5 hours a day. Sometimes, I miss the Hollister days. It was a funny, good time, which is surprising because I hate that store. So many hilarious stories from back then. It’s so weird because I feel like it’s gone by SO fast since I worked there. Ah, well, lots of new humorous stories from this summer to come. I’m sure of it.
Oh P.S. Hahaha. Apparently, our living room TV just completely died without any warning. Like, we've had it for a while, but all of a sudden, it just went out. So, we have to go out and get a new one RIGHT NOW. Haha, I love how my dad can't wait to get one til tomorrow. I wanna go out and buy the new one, but I mean, the derby of jonrones is tonight. I'm pumped. And maaaaad pumped for the All-Star game tomorrow, mostly because of my love, BRIAN MCCANN. WHAAAAAAAT.

Hmm...so, it's been a while. I was in Bristol, RI today and yesterday. It's pretty nice. Good softball complex right on the water. They had three games yesterday and one today. I'm pretty worn out from all the driving around and sitting around at games. Plus, I played a HUGE series of badminton against Meme today. See, we play best of 3 series. This year, I had never won a series yet and had only won ONE game of a series. It was pathetic, but Meme's really good. She's really strong. Anyways, I lost the first game 21-19. It was really close. I won the second game 21-15. Then, the last game, it was a toughy. We had to go into extra points, or whatever you would call them in badminton. Since you need 21 to win, but you need to win by 2. I won 23-21. It was crazay.
I don't know if that was such a good idea to play such a heated match, especially since I was already tired AND I have my first day of work tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. I'm kinda nervous because Mondays, you stay at the school all day, so it's like, what do you do? Hopefully, they'll let us know. The good thing is that only one person who's working at my school has worked this camp before so, I'm in good company.
Oh, funny story real quick. We were driving to Bristol this morning at 7whatever in the morning. We had to drive Erica, who plays on Meme's team. These boys were in this minivan and passed us, and the one in the front seat had a sign in the window saying 'I <3 You' and like pointing to our car and himself. Erica is hilarious, so she was all about it, like hanging out her window and stuff. It was SO funny.
Mmk, so that's all. Nothing too exciting. I'll holler about the first day of work. There are bound to be some funny kids. Oh, A's game on Saturday, too. SO excited. Everything's good to go. Claire's coming to our house early on Saturday via train and we'll be heading to the game later. I hope this week goes by fast!
